Veridien Academy
Learn how to manage and boost your operations with our modern hotel management system.
Veridien Academy is the complete learning resource for the Veridien Property Management System. Every guide is written for hotel staff who need to get work done —front desk agents processing check-ins during a rush, finance managers reconciling night audit, housekeeping supervisors coordinating room turnovers between departures and arrivals.
These are not feature lists. Each page walks through real workflows with the context you need to understand not just which buttons to click, but why the system works the way it does and what happens downstream when you make a change.
New to Veridien?
Start with First Login to set up your account and learn the interface. Then read Key Concepts to understand the vocabulary —Properties, Rooms, Reservations, Folios, Rate Plans —that every other guide assumes you know.
How can the academy help you?
The guides are grouped by module, matching the sidebar in Veridien itself. Each module covers a distinct area of hotel operations:
Getting Started covers your first login, the interface layout, and the foundational concepts that connect every module together. Read this first regardless of your role.
Front Desk is where daily operations happen. Check-ins, check-outs, walk-ins, room moves, guest profile management, and the dashboard that gives you a snapshot of today's activity. If you work at the reception counter, this is your primary reference.
Reservations handles everything before the guest arrives. Creating and modifying bookings, setting up rate plans and availability rules, managing group blocks, and understanding how reservations flow into the front desk and billing modules.
Restaurant covers outlet operations for properties with food and beverage service. Table configuration, menu management, order taking, kitchen display integration, order modifications, payment processing, and tax setup for restaurant billing.
Billing & Finance is the financial backbone. Folios track every charge and payment for a stay. Invoices formalize what the guest or company owes. The night audit closes each business day, validates data integrity, and generates the reports your accounting team needs.
Housekeeping coordinates room readiness. Room status workflows ensure departures get cleaned and inspected before the next guest arrives. Task assignments let supervisors distribute work across the team and track completion in real time.
Channel Manager connects Veridien to online travel agencies like Booking.com and Expedia. Rate parity, availability synchronization, and reservation imports all flow through this module. Proper setup here prevents overbookings and rate mismatches.
Administration is for property managers and system administrators. User accounts, roles and permissions, property-level settings, and booking source configuration. Changes here affect what every other user sees and can do.
Analytics provides the reporting layer. Occupancy trends, revenue metrics, and performance dashboards that help management make informed decisions about pricing, staffing, and operations.
Who these guides are for
Every guide is written to be useful whether you are a new hire learning the system for the first time or an experienced user looking up a specific procedure. The language assumes hospitality knowledge —you know what a folio is, what night audit means, how rate plans work in practice —but does not assume prior experience with Veridien specifically.
If you are an administrator setting up a new property, start with Getting Started, then move to Administration to configure users and permissions before your team begins training. If you are training front desk staff, point them to Getting Started followed by Front Desk and Reservations.
